In 2017 I visited the Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame in Wichita Falls TX. It was a decent-sized museum, not too big, just right for a couple of hours of hanging out and taking in the artifacts. It was a treasure trove in particular for those of us who grew up watching wrestling in the 1980s when the territories were still going and you had a variety of promotions to choose from. Being in North Texas, as you might expect, the Hall of Fame featured a goodly amount of exhibits and memorabilia dedicated to World Class Championship Wrestling, including the original WCWA World Heavyweight Championship belt that was used when World Class withdrew from the NWA in 1986 up until the AWA/CWA/World Class unification match in December 1988 between Kerry Von Erich and Jerry Lawler in Chicago at Super Clash 3. It then became part of the "Unified World Title" for awhile until the belt was no longer used. The original WCWA World Heavyweight Champion was "Ravishing" Rick Rude and it was also held by Chris Adams, Kerry Von Erich, Kevin Von Erich, Al Perez, Iceman King Parsons, and Black Bart. While at the museum, former World Class wrestler John Mantel was there hanging out and I had a good conversation with him about the old days, The museum features a lot of memorabilia from other promotions besides World Class too. See if you can identify some of the different people represented in the following photos.
