Bluespring Caverns is a cave system about 80 miles south of Indianapolis near Bedford, Indiana on US Highway 50. It is near where springs feed into the White River and contains the largest known subterranean river in the United States. When I visited I took a neat boat tour on part of this underground river. We first went through the entrance to access the river.
Our boat awaited inside to begin the journey.
Once we were off, it was cool, majestic, and silent inside, like some entrance to a hollow earth civilization.
In my mind I also tried to imagine what it would be like here if it was under a deep freeze, with the help of one of my photo filters I came up with this.
