Ghost town of Picher Oklahoma. Fall 2018. The town had several thousand residents in the 1980s, now only this gorilla mascot from the championship high school football team. The residents moved out after the town was declared an environmental disaster due to extensive mining all around the town that had left extensive lead poisoning. The residents who didn't move out due to the toxic waste left after the town was hit by a tornado in the 2000s.
